SichtaWebBot

What this is
If you found SichtaWebBot in your access log, this page is what its User-Agent points at. The full string is: SichtaWebBot/1.0 (+https://web.sichta.gigliotti.software/bot).
It is operated by Gigliotti Software, Lugano, Switzerland. Contact: hello@gigliotti.software.
Why it visited you
Either someone asked us to check your site — our free scan is open to anyone and needs no account — or you are a customer of ours and we are re-checking a site you added.
We do not crawl the open web looking for sites. Every request is caused by a specific person entering a specific hostname.
What it fetches
Your homepage, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, llms.txt, llms-full.txt, a small number of /.well-known/ paths, and up to 25 links found in llms.txt. It also requests your homepage once per declared AI agent name to see whether those are treated differently.
A check is capped at 30 requests and 15 seconds in total, follows at most 2 redirects, and reads only what it needs to answer a check. It runs no JavaScript, submits no forms, and follows no links outside the ones listed above.
How to block it
Add this to your robots.txt:
User-agent: SichtaWebBot Disallow: /
We honour it. Note what that means for you: a scan of your site will then report that we were refused, rather than reporting your site as unreadable — being blocked is a fact we state, not a failure we assign.
If you would rather not wait for a crawler to read robots.txt, write to hello@gigliotti.software and we will refuse scans of your hostname outright.
What we keep
For a free scan: the findings, under a random unguessable identifier, for seven days. Nothing about your site is written to our database and nothing is used to train anything.
For a site a customer has added and verified: the results of each check, so that we can tell them when something changes.
